Café de Rohan Luxury Christmas Cards

£12.00

We've created a Christmas card from this delightful 1911 French menu, from Café de Rohan.

The cards are A5-sized (21x15cm), printed on luxurious 'Vellum' paper-cotton-mix card, and include the bill of fare from the original menu inside the card.

Each pack includes cards and envelopes.
Printed in the UK.

The menu was created for a Réveillon – a party or a dinner in French-speaking parts of the world, and held on the day preceding Christmas and New Year’s Day.

The menu included oysters, grilled pork with apples, pheasant in pastry with truffles, foie gras and Buche Noelle, traditional festive log cake. All presumably cooked under the direction of Chef De Bussy.

We’ve tried to place where the Café de Rohan was more than a hundred years ago – it was probably situated in Paris. The De Rohan name comes from a family of well-known French nobility.
