Known as “the landmark for hungry Americans,” these orange roofed Howard Johnson’s restaurants stretched from Maine to New York. Food was high quality, cheap and plentiful. This is a beautifully designed menu cover, which we think dates from the late 40s or 50s, in the chain’s colors of green and orange and the many and varied graphics are really elegant.
