RMS Berengaria 1936

£20.00

The RMS Berengaria sailed from Southampton to New York with up to 4,000 passengers on board on every trip. This vintage menu shows a flame-haired siren or mermaid rising out of her shell bed to greet a seagull. Her hair looks like the tentacles of an octopus. It’s an imaginative illustration, all part of the romance of being at sea. The food on offer in this 1936 menu may have been for a private dinner on board.
