It must be fun to celebrate a New Year on the ocean waves…..this charming vintage menu from the SS Laconia shows both passengers and the mythic creatures who live at the bottom of the sea celebrating in style. Dated 1936, this beautifully illustrated menu would have been put before passengers on a trip between Southampton and New York. Commandeered for service during WWII, the Laconia was sunk in 1942.
